Postdoctoral Scholar Position

The charge transfer step at the solid-electrolyte/electrode interface limits the power of all-solid-state Li-ion batteries. We have an immediate opening for a postdoctoral scholar in the area of modeling the transport phenomena at this interface using reactive force field and first-principles (QM/DFT).  Also of interest are simulations of surfaces, interfaces, defects, and grain boundaries in solid electrolytes. The work is part of a larger effort to use atomistic simulations to provide the fundamental understanding of lithium dendrite nucleation and growth in Li-ion batteries.
