
Sreekar Malempati was born and raised in Sterling Heights, Michigan. He is currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Physiology with a minor in Bioethics through Michigan State University’s residential college, Lyman Briggs. Sreekar is an esteemed member of the DO program, and holds a 3.8 GPA. Along with academics, Sreekar is also a volunteer at the Mother Teresa House where he helps provide hospice care. Sreekar is also an executive board member of MSU’s Habitat for Humanity chapter. Sreekar has been working on creating accurate computational models of the cardiovascular system, along with trying to create pressure-volume loops with the guidance of PhD student Ce Xi and fellow undergraduate student Craig DeClerck. After his undergraduate degree, Sreekar will be working towards a professional degree in medicine.
