Ashkan completed both his BSc and MSc at Sharif University of Technology, focusing on numerical simulations of heat transfer and multiphase flow physics. Currently pursuing his PhD at Michigan State University, his research now centers on fluid-structure interaction (FSI) simulations with biomedical applications. His current work includes simulating Pulsed Field Ablation for cardiac treatments and modeling Mitral Valve Regurgitation.
